Outline of Research at the Start

This study aims at developing and testing a new modeling framework for prediction of stream thermal habitats with high spatio-temporal resolution by combining logger measurements with thermal infrared imaging by UAV and state-of-the-art spatial statistical methods. The model will be applied to map the spatio-temporal dynamics of thermal habitats of multiple fish species in two types of rivers with significantly different thermal regimes and analyzed to identify the key environmental controls.
