Outline of Research at the Start

気候変動や人為的改変などで、河川の砂礫地や海岸の砂浜に生息する鳥類の生息地消失が生じている。種の存続や個体数回復を考慮した水辺の生態系保全や自然再生には、対象種の移動性や地域集団間における交流の理解が重要である。
本研究では、個体数減少が危惧される渉禽類（イカルチドリ、コチドリ、シロチドリ）に着目し、遺伝的手法を用いて国内繁殖集団の交流状況および生息地間の連結性を推定することを目的とした。
