Outline of Research at the Start

農業の拡大と集約化は世界の生物多様性にとって大きな脅威だが、全ての農業が生物多様性を必ずしも低下させるわけではない。この「農業と生物多様性の状況依存的な関係性」は、現在の農業の集約度だけでなく、過去の農業の歴史性から説明できる可能性がある。そこで本研究は、生物多様性を減らす農業と増やす農業の世界的な分布パターン、ならびにそのパターンが四つの要因（気候、農業の集約度、農業の歴史の長さ、作目）によって説明できるのかを明らかにする。英語論文に加えて、多言語の学術雑誌も対象としたシステマティックレビューを行い、アジアや南米のデータを含むメタ解析を行うことで、農業と生物多様性の関係性を明らかにする。
