Outline of Research at the Start	タンザニアでは、グリッド(系統電力)による都市の電化が優先され長年にわたり農村電化は顧みられてこなかったが、2010年代にオフグリッドの再生可能エネルギーを活用した農村電化事業が推進された。近年では人口増加や産業化に伴い高まり続ける電力需要に対応するため大規模な水力発電所が増設されるようになり、グリッドが農村にも急速な広がりをみせている。このような状況をうけ、本研究では、2010年代に農村電化政策の波に乗り小規模な水力発電を導入した農村を事例とし、村内で電化がどのような形で進んできたのか、近年のグリッドの急速な広がりという新たな課題に農民がどのように応答しているのかを解明していく。
