Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、ラオス国境付近の地域を対象に地域資源の維持管理を促す（阻害する）要因を構造方程式モデリング（SEM）から同定し、資源の保護・保全によって地域住民の生計に負の影響を及ぼすことなく、むしろそこからの多様な便益を住民が享受できる仕組み（コモンズ）を考察する（下からの自治）。その上で、政府による現状の環境政策（上からの統治）の課題を明らかにし、ラオスと隣国間における新たな環境ガバナンスの構築を提言する。本研究の提唱する環境ガバナンスの構築は、オルタナティブな「持続可能な発展」のモデルを提示することが期待できる。
