Outline of Research at the Start

台湾の現行憲法、すなわち「中華民国憲法」はモンゴルやチベット、ウイグルの人々を「辺疆民族」と規定し、彼らの法的地位を保障している。本研究の目的は、1949年の中華人民共和国の成立前後に台湾へ脱出した辺疆民族がどのような社会を作り上げたのか、中国共産党に敗れた中華民国政府の民族政策が台湾撤退後どのように変容したのか実証的に解明することにある。この作業を通じて、現代台湾（中華民国）の掲げる多文化主義へとつながる諸制度の形成過程を、大陸時代との連続性・断絶性に注目して分析する。
