Outline of Research at the Start	本研究課題は「マレーシアにおけるジェンダー・熟議・市民社会：公共圏の可能性と市民社会の役割」として、マレーシアにおけるジェンダーをめぐる議論を中心として、ジェンダーに関わる政策と政策決定プロセスにおける市民社会の役割を調査・分析することを目的とする。具体的には、（1）マレーシアの民主化と人権におけるジェンダーに関わる議論の分析、（2）90年代以降のジェンダー政策と政策をめぐる議論のあり方と議論の場の分析・検討、（3）ジェンダーNGOsの活動の調査と分析・評価、（4）ジェンダーに関わる政策決定プロセスにおける市民社会の役割の分析、を行う。
