Outline of Research at the Start

習近平政権が中国国内の宗教活動に対して過度な制限を加えているにもかかわらず、チベット仏教やイスラームはタイやベトナム等の周辺国に越境し、新たな信徒や支援者を獲得している点に注目する。
4年の研究期間に以下の課題に取り組む。(1)中国共産党の公式文献から「宗教中国化」政策の推移を年表化し、宗教統制強化の歴史的背景を探る。(2)中国国内に拠点を置くチベット仏教とイスラームの「宗教ネットワーク」の現状を政府系雑誌および内部発行資料から浮き彫りにする。(3)タイやベトナム等の周辺国に移住した在外華人と連携し、活動領域の拡大を目指す新たな「宗教ネットワーク」の動向と役割を現地で調査する。
