Outline of Research at the Start	筆者はソ連崩壊後の1990年代からコロナ渦の直前までスターリン体制の解明、とくにその極東政策に関する研究に従事してきたが、2022年2月にロシアがウクライナ侵略を開始したため、ロシアでの研究継続は困難となった。そのため同国での一次史料収集をあきらめ、極東同様の遠隔地で、現在は独立国家となったカザフスタン、グルジア（ジョージア）で一次史料を収集し、同時代のソ連極東とこれらの地域との比較研究を試みる。
