Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、複雑な社会現象を「アクター（行為者）」と「ネットワーク」の関係性から読み解くアクターネットワーク理論（Actor-Network-Theory:ANT）を用いて、地域社会における文化財の保存・活用の条件を明らかにする。そのため、島根県の石見銀山と群馬県の富岡製糸場を事例として地域社会における調査研究に取り組む。従前のような人間によるネットワークだけを捉えるのではなく、地域の住民、企業、行政、観光客、マスメディア、そして文化財、言説、地域アイデンティティ等の非人間的要素を含むアクター・ネットワークを分析することで、文化財の保存・活用を通じた観光まちづくりが構築される過程を検討する。
