Outline of Research at the Start

観光地においては国内外からの観光客の集中によるオーバーツーリズムが問題となっており、2023年10月に宮島が立地する広島県廿日市市で「宮島訪問税」の徴収が始まり、原因者課税として観光客から徴収する日本で初めての税となっている。この訪問税の徴収により、観光客の行動や意識、地元観光事業者の対応や意識、自治体の観光関連施策や事業費がどのように変化したかを把握するとともに、混雑問題に対する波及効果がどの程度見込まれるかを宮島における現地調査を中心として計測する。
