Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では船員の身体装飾が職業意識の形成やジェンダー表象の変遷にどのように関連し影響を与えてきたかを分析する。特に現代の女性船員が化粧を避けることでフェミニニティを抑制し船員としてのマスキュリニティをアピールすることで男性船員との連帯感を築いている点と過去の男性船員が刺青を入れることで船員のマスキュリニティや連帯感を強化していた文化に注目する。船員業における真のジェンダーインクルージョンを実現するには職業文化やジェンダー意識の構造を明らかにすることが必要である。本研究では過去から現在にわたる船員業のジェンダー表象の変遷を明らかにし海運界におけるジェンダーインクルージョンの現状と課題を解明する。
