Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、出生前検査を中心にして生殖における自律性とは何か、個人の思いや経験を汲み取りながら、医療への患者・市民参画という視点から検討するものである。この研究は産婦人科領域に留まるものではない。生殖の自律性を考える上で出生前検査という医療的事象が争点として適していると認識しているからであり、特に患者・市民参画といういわば身体に関する専門知識の民主化という地平で、生殖を再考する試みである。科学技術の社会受容性という受け身の市民像ではなく、他者と連携しながら能動的に医療に関わっていく市民を措定し、医療に関わっていく／関わらざるを得ない人々のミクロな行動や思いを精緻に捉えていく。
