Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、『新約聖書』の明治元訳および大正改訳、ならびに漢訳聖書等の翻訳資料に見られる漢語の使用実態を、計量言語学および日本語史の観点から精査し、近代日本における漢語の創製、展開、定着の過程を、実証的データに基づいて体系的に明らかにすることである。あわせて、翻訳聖書が日本語の近代化に果たした言語的役割を解明し、日本語史における翻訳聖書の位置づけに新たな視座を提供することを目指す。
