Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、高齢者の移動能力およびバランス能力の加齢に伴う経時的変化に着目し、高齢者の動的バランス能力を評価する。そして、高齢者自身が理解し予防意識を高めることができるように「バランス能力の見える化」を目指す。動的バランス能力の評価から移動能力低下につながる初期徴候を解明し、転倒リスクの高い高齢者を抽出できる移動能力判定尺度を作成する。さらに高齢者の移動能力に適合した機能性をもつ歩行補助具の開発につなげることを目的とする。
