Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、中世キリスト教における象徴理論とその思想的基盤を体系的に解明し、宗教儀式や教会芸術における当該理論との関係を明らかにすることを目的とする。具体的には『聖務の理論』という13世紀の文書を中心に、①同書を分析し、他の神学者や東方キリスト教の典礼注解や象徴論と比較することで、西方の中世盛期キリスト教における象徴理論の特徴を明確化する。②同書の成立状況や影響関係を明らかにし、後世の思想面の受容も見ることで、思想史的文脈を解明する。また①②を通してキリスト教的象徴理解の神学理論の歴史的な見取り図を作成する。さらに③同書の写本装画や関連する儀式を分析し、典礼注解書と実践の関係を考察する。
