Outline of Research at the Start

薄井憲二（1924－2017）は、自らの活動において事実上の「ソ連の」ロシアバレエの宣伝塔となりながら、同時にバレエ・リュスを礎とする「外国経由のロシアバレエ」を志向した。1930年代からバレエ・リュス関連資料収集に取り組み、生涯をバレエにささげた薄井の視点から日本バレエ史を振り返ることで、ソ連から伝えられる「ロシアバレエ」だけではない「外国経由のロシアバレエ」の受容の在り方を見出すことが可能になる。多岐にわたる交流事業を始めとして、２１世紀初頭に流行した古典バレエの復元事業によって日本と世界のバレエをつないだ薄井の仕事を検討するために、日米英で調査を行う予定である。
