Outline of Research at the Start	十世紀の日本文学は、ひらがなの普及が転機となって多くの作品をなした。その先陣を切るのが905年撰進の『古今和歌集』であり、以降各種物語作品、日記文学、随筆がジャンルとして分化して、十一世紀初頭の『源氏物語』に至る醸成の歴史である。このうち、もっとも多くの作品が現存するジャンルは私家集である。十世紀歌人の私家集の特質が明確になることで、日記文学や歌物語とを架橋した文学史把握が可能になる。これによりひらがなが日本文学の書記形態として確立してゆく動態を克明に辿ることができるようになる。
