Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、現代社会を生きる人間と動物との共生を考えるナラティヴのあり方を解明するものである。文学研究の観点を軸に、動物と人間との関係について論じる思想的言説の特性を同定するため、フランスの思想家ジャン＝クリストフ・バイイの動物を主題とする一連の詩的エッセイ、その端緒となったフランスの画家ジル・アイヨーの動物画と詩集とを比較検討しながら分析する。文学・思想・美術の三領域を横断しながら研究を進めることによって、バイイの動物論にみられるナラティヴの特異性を提示し、従来の枠組みではとらえきれないバイイ動物論の現代的価値と、アイヨーの画業の持つ意義を明らかにする。
