Outline of Research at the Start

ベコ「牛」、タウ「届く」などの俚言の収集は方言研究の初期から行われてきたが、俚言のアクセントを報告する例は多くない。方言同士の系統関係を明らかにしようとする研究では俚言を含む語彙が利用されることがあるが、語彙は借用されやすく、ある語が借用語かどうかを評価する必要がある。アクセントは評価基準として有用だが、俚言の多くはアクセント情報がなく、これを明らかにする必要がある。語彙は言語で最も共通語化しやすい要素である。日本の多くの方言が消滅危機であり、俚言を含む調査は急務である。同源性情報付き俚言アクセント資料のデータベースを作成することは、方言の継承活動での活用も期待され、応用の余地が大きい。
