Outline of Research at the Start

フランス、イタリア、スイスにまたがるフランコプロヴァンス語を例に、言語再活性化に向けた言語の記録保存とその活用について、社会言語学的観点から研究する。第1に、資料調査、図書館等の視察、話者団体の活動の参与観察、話者等へのインタビュー調査等によって、刊行物等の文字資料や音声・映像資料の活用の実態を明らかにする。第2に、話者の言語使用や言語意識に関する社会言語学的インタビューのデータについて、言語の記録保存における位置づけとその活用・提示方法を検討する。そして「文化遺産化」された言語を「過去」の言語でなく、現代の言語として継承する可能性を探求する。
