Outline of Research at the Start

ICTを活用した遠隔地交流が英語力向上に貢献する一方、交流活動を実施する学校の少なさが課題となっている。背景にはスピーキング練習の不足や不安、教師のICT機器への苦手意識などの情意的要因が絡んでいる。本研究では、ICTを活用した国際交流を促進する方法を模索し、スピーキング力と情意面に及ぼす影響を検証する。海外の研究機関と協力し、同期型 (ビデオ通話) と非同期型 (動画やオンライン掲示板) のICTを組み合わせた交流を実施し、スピーキング力と情意面の向上に最も効果的な組み合わせ条件を明らかにする。得られた結果を授業に組み込み、学習者の熟達度に最も適した、海外・遠隔地との交流方法を提案する。
