Outline of Research at the Start

英語力の低い日本人大学生は、英語を話す際に最も高いレベルの外国語への不安を感じており、これが英語のスピーキング能力に著しい影響を及ぼしている。学生間の心理的距離を縮めることを目的とした「アイスブレーカー」と呼ばれる学習活動は、この不安を軽減し、英語のスピーキング能力を向上させる可能性が示唆されている。特に、アイスブレーカーは、日本語や英語などの特定な言語能力に依存しない、言語制限のない状況下で最大の効果を発揮すると考えられる。本研究では、日本における英語力が低い学生を対象に、アイスブレーカーが英語を話す際の外国語不安を軽減し、英語話者としての能力向上にどのように寄与するか検証する。
