Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、近世日本における儒者の外交上の役割について、対馬藩校・藩儒を主たる対象として解明することにある。具体的にはまず対馬藩校・藩儒の朝鮮通信使・海防との関わりに焦点を当てて検討する。また対馬藩校・藩儒の特色を浮かび上がらせるため、諸藩・諸地域の儒者・藩校と比較も試みる。以上を通して、近世日本における儒者の外交上の役割、ひいては近世日本で朝鮮との関係が持つ様々な意義の解明をも目指す。
