Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、15世紀末から17世紀を対象に、環インド洋世界の枠組みを参照しつつ、巡礼・参詣のため両聖地を訪れた南アジア関連の知識人たちが先行する作品や自らの聖地滞在経験に基づきいかに聖地について叙述したか、また彼らの作品がいかに広く流通したか明らかにするものである。
