Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、主に1940年代から2010年代にかけての沖縄の帰属をめぐる東アジア諸国の認識の変化を、韓国、台湾、日本、中国、米国の沖縄帰属問題に関わる外交文書や関連文献を幅広く収集・分析し、各地域の政治状況の影響にも着目しつつ実証的に解明することを目的とする。これにより、東西冷戦の終結後も沖縄の米軍基地が米国と同盟関係にある国々から重要視され続けている東アジアの状況を、歴史的に問い直すことを目指す。
