Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、裁判官の選出に民主的正統性を付与するような実質的な機会を設けることが望ましいのではないか、という着想のもと、裁判官を民主的に選ぶ機会としての国民審査の可能性を追求する。具体的には、裁判官選挙と国民審査の異同に関する日米比較憲法研究を行う。本研究は、裁判官選挙及び国民審査における候補者の資質に関する審査のあり方の異同を、日米比較憲法研究の方法を用いて明らかにしようとするものであり、公聴会など裁判官の資質を公開する機会をどのように設けるべきか、ということについての検討を行う。
