Outline of Research at the Start	主に日本の地方議会を対象として、候補者個人が中心となる選挙制度が女性の議会への参入にどのような影響を与えるのかを明らかにする。女性が立候補し議員になるまでの過程を、（A）選挙に出馬する人材が供給される局面、（B）選挙に出馬する人材に対して組織的な支援が（事前、事後に）提供される局面、（C）投じられた票が議席結果に変換される局面の三つに分け、それぞれについて実証研究を行うことで、選挙制度の効果を明らかにする。
