Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では，集団的意思決定のための代表制のデザインについて研究を行う。より良い社会を実現するためには，社会の構成員の選好や情報を適切に反映した集団的な意思決定を行う必要がある。ここで，大規模な社会においては構成員による代表の選出とその代表による意思決定という，代表制意思決定が主要な方法となる。本研究では，より良い代表制のデザインを実現するために，人間行動の理論に基づく演繹的な理論的研究と，データと統計的推論に基づく実証的研究を相補的に行なっていく。また，そのために必要となる方法について，因果推論とそれに対する機械学習の応用を中心に研究を進める。
