Outline of Research at the Start

研究開発（R&D）により開発された財は，生産のための認可や承認，特許などの審査を受ける．これらの審査は市場に出回る財の品質の保証や利潤の保護のために必要だが，長い審査期間は利潤を遠ざけるためR&Dの誘因を阻害しかねない．審査期間の短縮は費用の増加や審査の質の低下を伴うため，経済成長や社会厚生の観点から必ずしも望ましいとは限らない．本研究では，垂直方向のR&Dモデルに認可・特許の審査を導入し，費用の増加または審査の質の低下による審査期間の短縮が，経済成長や社会厚生に対して与える影響について明らかにする．
