Outline of Research at the Start

In study 1 I will evaluate the heat-loss realization rates for retrofitted homes using a comprehensive dataset of household-level energy audits across Canada. In study 2 I will employ a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) to encourage the adoption
of heat pump water heaters among Japanese households, using peer effects to drive behavioral change. Together, these studies aim to deepen the understanding of energy efficiency programs and provide essential policy insights toward achieving net-zero emissions.
