Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、途上国の感染症制圧にパーソナル・ヘルス・レコード（PHR）の活用が有効かどうか検証する。マラリア汚染地域であるケニア西部でのフィールド調査と、ミクロ経済学的な行動モデル分析、医学的な血清データを取り入れた計量経済学分析により、PHRの活用がマラリアの感染・発症に関する確率的信念や予防行動、感染状況に与える影響を検討する。確率的信念がどのような更新過程をたどるのか検証することで、経済学研究の基礎固めを行いつつ、経済発展の阻害要因と考えられる途上国の感染症制圧に向けて、個々人に最適化した医療・健康アドバイスを可能にするPHRがもたらす効果を明らかにする点が特徴である。
