Outline of Research at the Start

人口減少社会である現代社会において、災害により被害を受けた地域社会が、定住人口増や経済成長とは異なる形で持続可能性を獲得するための条件とは何かを明らかにすることが本研究の目的である。そこで、人口減少・少子高齢化が顕著な地域が甚大な被害を受けた2024年の能登半島地震、能登豪雨を主な事例に、過去の災害事例とも比較しながら、被災当事者にとって、住み続ける／移動する、帰還する／帰還しない、という決定を行う上で何が重要な動機づけとなっているか（＝移動をめぐる経験）を多面的に調べる。特に、非経済的な側面が人々の行動に与える影響、移動者による被災した地域社会との多様な関わりといった面に注目する。
