Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は「地域に根ざす環境教育」の可能性を模索するものである。そのために、（1）学習題材を提供するものとしての地域概念を超えて、より豊な可能性に開かれる地域概念をどう確立するか、（2）このような地域概念に基づくことで、現行の教育への批判的視点を含む環境教育のあり方がどう構想されるか、（3）地域に根ざす環境教育の実践が具体的にどのように行われるかという問いに答えなければならない。本研究では、学習題材を提供するものを超えた地域概念がいかなるものであるかを明らかにすることを通して、地域に根ざす環境教育論のアプローチを理論的に構築し、そのような環境教育実践を行うための具体的手法を提案することを試みる。
