Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、占領初期沖縄にとって最大の課題であった「復興」を学校教育、とりわけ沖縄固有の歴史教育を通じていかに成し遂げようとしていたか、その「ツール」とされた沖縄の社会科歴史副読本の多角的な分析を通じて解明するものである。
その際、沖縄の中学校社会科歴史副読本である仲原善忠著『琉球の歴史』を主たる分析対象とする。同書の刊行状況をデータ化し、本土の社会科教科書・副読本等との比較、同書の原稿、日記等を駆使して内容分析を行う。教育実践は、琉球政府文教局の刊行物、教育実践記録、当時の教員が作成した指導案、授業ノート等の一次史料の発掘に努め、状況が許す範囲で元教員や元生徒の方々に聞き取り調査を実施する。
