Outline of Research at the Start	顔知覚の発達には発達初期の顔の経験が重要な役割を担う。先行研究では，頑健な顔の知覚学習を促すよう，発達初期に乳児が経験する顔が特定の特徴をもつものに制約されている可能性が指摘されてきた。しかし，これまで報告されてきた発達初期の顔の経験の特徴は，特定の文化圏のデータに限定されており，文化普遍的に観察されるものなのかは明らかでない。本研究では，日本と米国の乳児を対象に，小型カメラを用いて日常生活での乳児の視覚経験を縦断的に記録した映像コーパスを構築する。顔の経験を日米二国間で比較し，発達初期の乳児の顔の経験における文化普遍的な特徴を特定する。顔知覚の発達メカニズムの解明に寄与することが期待される。
