Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は「なぜ大学生は必ずしも必要ではない場合でも、学習時間を削ってアルバイトに従事するのか」を、行動経済学の観点から明らかにすることである。先行研究により、奨学金受給者が経済合理性のないアルバイトに従事する傾向が確認されているが、彼らが就労に至る社会的・心理的メカニズムは未解明である。行動経済学は経済合理性では説明できない経済活動に焦点を当てており、過去の調査でこのメカニズムには地域等による一定のパターンが存在することが示されている。これらの研究成果を踏まえ、本研究では日本だけでなく諸外国にも注目し、実証的な国際比較研究を通じて、奨学金受給者が就労へ至るメカニズムを解明するものである。
