Outline of Research at the Start

与えられた代数多様体がアフィン空間と同型かどうかを判断することは簡単ではない. この困難さに起因して, ザリスキの消去問題などアフィン空間の構造に関連する種々の未解決問題がある. 本研究の目的は, 座標環がUFDで, 特殊線形群SL2の作用を持つアフィン代数多様体Xを同型類で分類することである. この分類を利用して, Xがアフィン空間に同型となるための条件を構成する. そして, ザリスキの消去問題やアフィン空間のレトラクト問題など, アフィン空間に関連する未解決問題に取り組む. 特に正標数の場合や3次元の場合に焦点を当てる.
