Outline of Research at the Start

近年活発に行われている準結晶関連物質における磁性・超伝導を示す新物質探索は大きな成功を収めているものの、そのほとんどが多結晶体を対象としており、異方性など詳しい物性の探索の妨げとなっている。これを踏まえ本研究では、これまで多結晶体にて多く探索されてきた準結晶関連物質の単結晶化を目指し実験を行う。その手法として、セルフフラックスの他、従来あまり用いられてこなかった異種金属フラックスも検討する。得られた結晶に対しては、物性評価も行う予定である。
