Outline of Research at the Start

薬剤に効かない細菌（薬剤耐性菌）への新たな対策として、「細菌を食べる細菌」であるBdellovibrio bacteriovorus（デロビブリオ）が注目されている。しかし、一部の緑膿菌によってその捕食が妨げられることがわかっている。本研究では、緑膿菌がどのようにしてデロビブリオによる捕食を阻害するのか、その仕組みを遺伝子レベルで詳しく調査し、新たな感染症対策技術への応用を目指している。
