Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は16世紀フランスの聖堂を対象として、ルネサンス様式の受容の過程を検証するものである。ルネサンス様式（古典主義）を意識的に受容した世俗建築に対し、フランスの聖堂建築ではゴシック様式を基調とする構造に部分的にルネサンス様式の装飾を取り込むにとどまったと従来の建築史記述では評価されることが多い。しかし建築のデザインは実現のための技術と不可分であることから、実際には表層的な受容にとどまらない技術的な変化が伴っていたはずである。本研究ではゴシック建築の立面構成要素の一つであるトリフォリウムに着目し、ルネサンス様式の受容に伴ってその石積みや材料等がどのような変化を遂げたのかを考察する。
