Outline of Research at the Start

Climate change scenarios predict more drought in forest plantations. While mycorrhizal hyphae can help fine roots access soil water, related field studies are lacking. Here, the hyphal distribution and its effect on fine roots during drought are assessed in a forest plantation by soil imaging.
