Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、アフリカにおける生産資源の家計間誤配分のメカニズムとして、慣習法の下、土地分配を担う村長の役割に着目し、村長の社会的選好及び村人との社会的関係という新たな視点を提案する。再分配規範を考慮すると、村長は経済的不平等の発生を忌避し、農家の生産性に関係なく土地を配分している可能性がある。また資源の限られた当該地域では、村長による血縁者への依怙贔屓が懸念される。これらを検証するため、不平等回避の選好パラメータを抽出するゲーム実験と村長を中心とした社会ネットワークデータを収集する家計調査をザンビアにおいて実施する。誤配分の程度と関連付け、村長の社会的選好と村内の社会的関係の説明力を評価する。
