Outline of Research at the Start

うつ病や不安障害などの精神疾患障害は近年世界的な問題であり、精神疾患の治療法として、心理療法や薬物療法などがあり、精神疾患に関する研究が進んできている。しかし、ヒトの精神疾患は複雑なため、病態は依然として不明な点が多く、画期的な治療法も存在しない。本申請研究では、不安やうつ、ストレスにおけるPGF2α/PGF2α受容体（FP）シグナルの機能とその制御機構を明らかにすること、およびFP受容体調節薬が、不安の軽減やうつ症状の改善、ストレスへの適応能力を向上させる治療薬となりうるのか明らかにすることを目的とする。
