Outline of Research at the Start

We aim to recreate primate cardiovascular development in vitro using NHP cells to model fetal heart failure and embryonic diseases. By identifying species-specific markers with scRNA-seq, we enhance our understanding of cardiovascular morphogenesis and evolution. This ethically designed model opens new avenues for regenerative medicine, disease modelling, and complex synthetic embryo systems.
