Outline of Research at the Start

植物の卵分化を制御する分子機構は未解明の部分が多く残されている。我々はコケ植物をモデルとして用いることで、卵分化に必須の新奇因子EMUを発見している。EMUタンパク質は他の機能既知のタンパク質との類似性が低く、その分子機能は不明である。そこで本研究ではEMU過剰発現体の表現型解析、EMUの細胞内局在性解析、EMU相互作用因子の探索などを行うことにより、EMUの分子機能解明を目指す。本研究の完成により、植物の卵分化の制御機構の一端が明らかになると期待される。
