Outline of Research at the Start

申請者は、これまで正式な調査が行われていなかった大陸内陸部セールロンダーネ山地西部の生物多様性調査を行ない、現地から地衣類（菌類）を採集した。本研究は、この南極大陸の未調査地域で採集した地衣類を形態・分子系統分類学的に検討することで、南極大陸内の地衣類の多様性を解明することを目的としている。今回の助成は、分類学的検討に必要な機器、試薬、および学会発表に旅費にあてる。そして、最終的には国際的な動向である南極大陸の生物多様性保全に役立てたい。
