Outline of Research at the Start

Mitochondrial diseases (MDs) are currently incurable. We do not yet understanding their underlying molecular mechanisms and early triggers for tissue dysfunction. This study aims to find shared targets for therapies in all tissues affected by MDs using new single-cell transcriptomics technology.
