Outline of Research at the Start

がん治療において最も克服すべき課題が「転移」であり、原発巣から腫瘍細胞が血中に遊離して循環腫瘍細胞（CTC）となり、CTCが他臓器に生着して増殖するというプロセスを要する。CTCとがん組織の関係を詳細に評価できれば、がん細胞が遊離・生着するための転移メカニズムを解明できる可能性がある。本研究では、進行がん患者100人を対象としてCTCの抽出を行い、臓器横断的に転移メカニズム解明を目指す。
