Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、申請者らが近年開発した従来型よりも100万倍以上強力な腫瘍退縮効果を発揮する膜融合増強型腫瘍溶解性単純ヘルペスウイルス（oHSV）における全身投与時の抗腫瘍効果増強を目的として、oHSVの細胞への吸着性を制御する遺伝子改変を施すことにより、腫瘍への到達効率を向上する技術の開発を試みる。本研究にて開発するoHSVは有効な治療法が存在しない転移のある難治性がんに対する革新的な特効薬になり得る。
